GENERAL INFORMATION – (Please note the date changes) This reunion takes us to our Nation’s Capitol and offers attendees the opportunity to visit historic sites and venues as well as military memorials and museums. Every attempt has been made to offer a cross section of what there is in Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas such as Gettysburg Civil War Battlefield, Naval Academy at Annapolis, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the National Marine Corps Museum and Memorial, the Washington Navy Yard, a Navy Band concert, the Navy Memorial, National Archives, the Ford Theater, Evening Parade at the Marine Barracks, the Memorials on the Mall, Arlington National Cemetery and many other attractions and historic sites.
The reunion itinerary allows attendees to pick and choose what to do and the choice to attend for just a few days or for the entire time.
WHO CAN ATTEND – Any and all current or former crewmen of a U.S. Navy ship named Oklahoma City are cordially invited and encouraged to attend this reunion. This invitation extends to spouses, friends, children and grand children as all are welcome. This reunion will be a learning and enjoyable experience for adults and children alike.
HOTEL – Attendees are to make their own hotel reservations by calling the hotel direct at the number above. Make sure to tell them you are with this reunion to get our special daily rates of $89 (plus tax and without breakfast) or $109 (plus tax and with breakfast for two). These rates are good three days before and three days after the official dates of the reunion. Complimentary airport shuttle (Dulles International Airport) and parking are included. The hotel is ADA compliant and attendees must make these needs know at the time of making reservations. All food and beverage served in the hospitality room and banquet room must be provided by the hotel. Hotel reservations must be made no later than August 9, 2010, after which they will be handled on a space available basis and at the prevailing rate. Check in at 3:00pm, check out is at Noon.
DIRECTIONS – The hotel is directly off the Dulles Toll Way at Exit 10 (Centreville Road). Those flying are encouraged to reserve flights in and out of Dulles International Airport to take advantage of the complimentary airport shuttle.
WREATH LAYING & PLAQUE DEDICATION – When we visit the Navy Memorial on Friday, August 27th, the Association will conduct a wreath laying ceremony at the Lone Sailor statue and the dedicate the Oklahoma City Commemorative Plaque.
EARLY BIRDS – Your arrival day will be Monday, August 23rd and three special (and optional) tours/events are planned for you: Gettysburg Civil War Battlefield, Annapolis, and a Navy Band concert.
BASIC REUNION PACKAGE – This includes your registration, hospitality room, cash and host bars, dinner at Phillip’s Flagship Restaurant, Evening Parade at the Marine Barracks, business meeting, banquet and dance, memorial service, farewell brunch and Mystery Box Auction. Note - Breakfast is not included in room rate Sunday morning but is included in this package.

MAKE YOU RESERVATIONS NOW – Get your hotel reservations made before August 9th. Reunion reservations are due no later than August 1, 2010, but the sooner the better.
CANCELLATIONS – To avoid hotel cancellation costs, please cancel your hotel reservations directly with the hotel no later than 72 hours of our arrival date. To cancel your reunion functions, please do so no later than August 1, 2010.
