The following pictures were sent by my brother, Dennis Caruso, who visited Japan aboard the USS Philippine Sea (CVA-47) back in the 50's. This is the latest fashion trend in Japan. No, the girls aren't wearing see-thru clothing; the skirts are actually printed to look like it.
